multiCrimp fittings
Would it be possible to crimp spiral hoses with multiCrimp fittings?
No. MultiCrimp fittings are only attuned to wire-braid hoses.
Would it also be possible to obtain the multiCrimp fittings in a non pre-crimped version?
No. As opposed to separate nipple and ferrules, multiCrimp rules out the technically critical procedure of assembling and also errors in the choice of the right ferrule for different type of hoses. The storage can also be optimized.

Do mC hoses have to be skived?
No, even the 3- layer hose (SPC 3 mC) is only calibrated with the tools which are integrated in the system.
What is meant by calibrating?
In contrast to the conventional skiving, where the cover have to be removed completely down to the steel-wire-braid, only a reduction of the outside diameter takes place during calibration, for the perfect fit of the ferrule.
Why is there no single-layer multiCrimp hose?
Especially for repairs, the 2SN MC as a special compact hose fulfills all demands which are made of a single-layer standard hose (smaller bending radius, smaller external diameter, etc.). Thereby no double storage is necessery and also the risks of a mix-ups can be avoided.

Is it possible to use different fittings system with multiCrimp system? (test gage)
No. The multiCrimp features are attuned to each other. Especially the test gages only fit onto the multiCrimp fittings!

Is it possible to use spiral hoses with the multiCrimp system?
No. MultiCrimp fittings are only attuned to steel-wire-braid hoses. Simply use the SP-3 mC hoses alternatives to 4SP hoses; these can be used with multiCrimp and even achieve higher pressure values and lower bend radii.

Because new developments and new items constantly expand our training programme, it is necessary to endorse the certification every 2 years.
